Pollutec 2023

Pollutec 2023 brought the environmental sector together to share best practices and jointly develop solutions to current challenges. From 11 to 13 October 2023, we were on site in Lyon and presented our innovative technologies in industrial composting.

We were at Pollutec 2023 in Lyon!

Under the pressure of the growing crisis of climate change, Pollutec 2023 has succeeded in bringing together the entire environmental sector to share best practices and jointly develop solutions to the current challenges. 

Pollutec has been the leading international environmental trade fair for industry, cities and regions for 45 years and took place from 10 to 13 October at the Eurexpo site in Lyon. This major event is dedicated to the ecological and energy transition, from the fight against pollution to environmental protection and the fight against climate change.

We, UTV AG, successfully presented ourselves with BW_i at a joint stand of THE LÄND at Pollutec 2023 in Lyon. As Europe's leading innovation region, Baden-Württemberg offers an excellent environment for investing in the future. The Baden-Württemberg International Agency, BW_i for short, is the leading internationalization service provider and the central location promotion agency for business and science in the state of Baden-Württemberg. It aims to strengthen, support and accompany the state's companies and scientific institutions in their internationalization efforts. As a participant in the joint stand, we benefited from the comprehensive preparation and organization by BW_i, which not only led to a better placement, but also to expanded access to national and international networks and increased visibility.

We are proud to have presented our innovative composting system for biological waste treatment at Pollutec 2023. Our closed windrow composting system with membrane-covered, pressurized aerated, oxygen-controlled rotting technology offers an efficient solution for composting a wide range of biowaste types, from green and biowaste to commercial food waste and sewage sludge. With our technology, which effectively reduces odors and emissions, and the ability to expand the modules from 1,000 to 1,000,000 tonnes per year, we have already achieved success in more than 70 plants in over 20 countries and all climate zones around the world.

With more than 51,000 experts, 2,000 exhibitors and 17 regional and national pavilions, the trade fair brought together the entire international environmental and climate sector with a single goal: to find solutions to the challenges of climate change.

To illustrate this comprehensive approach, the participants were offered various tours: Innovation, water resource management; decarbonization, management and recycling of biowaste; circular economy and resource conservation and much more. However, the event was not only a platform for presentations, but also for intensive discussions and debates. Editorial sections such as "Agriculture and Climate" with topics such as soil quality, water resource management and sovereignty as well as "Bluetec Sea & Coastline" with biodiversity, natural environment and renewable energies offered visitors the opportunity to get involved in the discussion and learn from the experts. The editorially organized areas, including the "Agriculture and Climate" area with discussion panels on soil quality and water resource management and the "Bluetec Sea & Coastline" area, provided an additional platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices.

Pollutec 2023 was therefore not only an opportunity to showcase our innovations, but also an important step towards a more sustainable future through collaboration and collective intelligence.
