Levenseat Expands Its Site with a New UTV Facility

At its Forth site, Levenseat Resource Management successfully installed and commissioned a new UTV facility at the end of May 2026. With an annual capacity of up to 30,000 tonnes, the operator is expanding its capabilities for the biological treatment of organic waste fractions.

In future, the facility will process both separately collected organic waste and organic components from residual waste. It is designed to handle varying material properties reliably and ensure continuous plant operation.

Designed for Different Material Streams

Processing a range of organic materials places high demands on process management. Differences in structure and moisture content require controlled treatment to maintain stable composting conditions.

The UTV system creates optimal conditions within the composting windrows. At the same time, the GORE® Cover membrane supports low-emission composting and contributes to reliable plant operation.

Efficient Operational Processes

In addition to the biological treatment process, the project also focused on creating practical and efficient workflows. Four stationary winding units make it easier for the operating personnel to handle the membrane covers, ensuring short handling routes and efficient working processes.

With the new facility, Levenseat is strategically expanding its treatment capacity and creating a future-oriented solution for the recycling of organic waste.
