At the end of June 2026, the new GS-Gewerbe composting facility in Aschau am Inn was successfully commissioned. The facility will process up to 1,500 tonnes of green waste per year directly on site and recycle it into high-quality compost.
Short transport routes and regional treatment create the basis for a closed material cycle and enable the sustainable use of organic residual materials.
The facility is specifically designed to process green waste. As its composition and moisture content can vary depending on the season, the UTV system, together with the GORE® Cover, ensures stable conditions throughout the entire composting process.
This creates consistent process conditions that enable reliable composting and ensure a high-quality end product.
A Sustainable Solution for the Region
With the new facility, GS-Gewerbe is investing in a future-oriented solution for recycling regional green waste. Organic materials are treated directly on site and returned to the natural cycle as a valuable soil improver.
The project demonstrates that even compactly designed facilities can make an important contribution to a sustainable circular economy.
