Back in Kassel - impulses for a sustainable circular economy
From April 8 to 10, 2025, the industry will meet again in Kassel - at the Waste and Resources Forum, which is considered one of the most important meeting places for experts from waste management, recycling, agriculture and environmental technology.
This year's event will focus on sustainable solutions for a resource-conserving future. A particular focus will be on the role of high-quality, quality-assured compost in agriculture. After all, compost is more than just an end product - it is a key component for nutrient supply, soil health and the resilience of agricultural operations.
In view of the growing demand - around 10 million tons of compost are forecast annually by 2030 - the importance of the topic is clear. Organic farming and the soil industry in particular are showing increasing interest in reliable, quality-assured compost solutions.
One highlight of the forum is the new “Practical Forum on Organic Farming and Compost”, initiated by the Hesse Organic Farming Network (NÖK). The focus here will be on practical experience, innovative concepts and the continuous further development of the production and application of compost in organic farming.
Current developments and perspectives on the circular economy, sustainability and climate protection are also discussed - in a practical, future-oriented and interdisciplinary manner.
