In June 2025, our plant successfully went into operation for a food producer in Qatar. This marked another step toward returning organic residues directly on-site to the agricultural cycle.
Together with the operator Lusail, green waste and agricultural residues are processed into high-quality compost, which is used immediately to fertilize the company’s own fields.
Commissioning took place under climatic conditions that place high demands on process control. High temperatures and dry air particularly affect moisture balance and thus the stability of the composting process.
The plant was specifically designed to compensate for these influences and ensure reliable processing even under these conditions.
Direct use on the farm
With the launch of the plant, a closed-loop system was established. Organic materials generated are not disposed of but are recycled directly on-site and reintroduced into production.
For the operator, this means a more efficient use of existing resources and greater independence from external inputs.
