A series of presentations at Pollutec 2023 highlighting the strength of the 4 Corners relationship. The Four Motors of Europe support joint projects between regional stakeholders. In this way, numerous innovative projects and many exchange programmes between business, science, universities and civil society promote cooperation.
From 11 to 13 October, we were present at Pollutec in Lyon to showcase our innovative technologies for industrial composting. The integrated business event "the 4 Engines of Europe" was all about the sustainable economy. We were thrilled.
The interregional network "Four Engines for Europe" was founded in 1988 by the state of Baden-Württemberg and the regions of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France), Lombardy (Italy) and Catalonia (Spain). All four regions are strong in business and research and account for around 9% of Europe's economic output. Together, they have a population of 36 million.
By working together, the four regions aim to strengthen their leading position as dynamic regions in Europe. They are eager to learn from each other and find innovative solutions for the future in key areas. Current priority areas of cooperation include economic development, research and innovation, vocational and higher education, climate and environment, transport and mobility, health, agriculture, civil society and the arts.
